North Island Pricing Issue

Early this morning we discovered that our promotional pricing schedule for the week had failed to load in some of our Foodstuffs North Island stores.  

Last week’s deals were still live and the new ones hadn’t yet been activated.  Stores affected are selected New World and PAK'nSAVE supermarkets.  This means that some customers may have been charged the incorrect price for goods which should have been on promotion this week, all while they were still getting last week’s bonus promotional deals.  Since then we’ve been working as hard as we can to get this resolved – and we’re just about there.

It's difficult to know how many people have been affected by this issue at this point – we’ve focused on resolving the problem.

We apologise wholeheartedly for this situation and any inconvenience and we’re totally happy to do the right thing by our customers. Customers who have a concern can simply come to the Service Desk in store and they will be refunded any difference.  Next Monday we’ll also offer a make-good to our customers – we’re just working through the details and will advise soonest.

Again, we apologise for any inconvenience and assure customers that we are working as fast as we can to resolve this.  We’ll be doing our level best to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
